The Allegheny College Choir archive is the creation of Alumnus Bruce Rockwell, ’85, a choir member from 1982-1985. The project was started in 2010 as part of the 2012 retirement celebration of choral director/conductor Ward Jamison, Ph.D. As as a result, the great majority of the music is from his 1981-2012 tenure. It represents the digitization of recorded cassette tapes made of college concerts from 1981-1990. Concerts after that time were produced from other digital sources. Many thanks go to alumnus David Hill, who has generously contributed concert data from the Wright North era. This represents loving digitalization of vinyl LP’s.
The Archive is the sole product and responsibility of Bruce Rockwell, ’85, who, other than a college alumnus, has no other connection or affiliation with Allegheny College. The Archive is not sanctioned by or in any other way a product of Allegheny College.
